Four oil paintings colourfields in green, red, blue and yellow made by Hester van Dapperen made in commission. The paintings have all four a cut in the canvas, these are attached with coarse rope and partly painted, there is no effort made to hide the cut. Both the title and the cloths are a reference to the paintings of Barnett Newman titled "who's Afraid of Red, Yellow and Blue III and IV ' (series). These paitings are made of pure colors, often on very large canvases. They are both cut by a spectator in the museum. Respectively in the Nationalgalerie of Berlin, with a plastic rod and in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam with a Stanley knife. Idea of paintings in 4 colours in the hall by Noelle Kenninck.
